The Sanbornton Congregational Church, UCC, situated in Sanbornton, New Hampshire is a Church for Peace and Justice. We declare ourselves an Open and Affirming member of the United Church of Christ welcoming people of every race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, age, economic class, physical or mental ability. All are welcome!

Founded in 1771, the church has been a cornerstone of faith in this small community and the surrounding area through the generations since. We are a congregation of the United Church of Christ which was created by a merger of the Congregational Christian Churches and the Evangelical and Reformed churches. Our denominational heritage is Congregational, where congregations are independent and autonomous.

Sanbornton Congregational Church UCC 250th Year Celebration Continues!

(July 21st, 2022)

There are just 2 more events left in our year long celebration of our Church's 250th birthday! 

  • Sunday, October 23rd at 2pm: Pipe Organ Recital - The grand celebration of our recent pipe organ renovation project!

  • Sunday, November 13th: Merrimack Association Meeting hosted by our church with a guest speaker on Ukraine. The meeting will be followed by a special reception to mark our 250th anniversary on the very last day of the year long anniversary celebration!

"Got Lunch Sanbornton" Program Begins!

The church is beginning a new partnership today with "Got Lunch Sanbornton" to provide healthy groceries during the summer to families from the Sanbornton Central school.

Pastoral Search Committee Continues to Meet Weekly

At the Annual Meeting this past January, a pastoral search committee was appointed and the work has begun. The committee continues to meet weekly to build a church profile for pastoral candidates to review
